⚠️ Safety Precautions

Precautions and Maintenance

• For indoor use only.
• To avoid fire or electric shock hazards, do not place this device in damp or condensing environments.
• To prevent overheating, do not block the ventilation openings on the back of the digital calendar.
• Keep the digital calendar in a cool place away from direct sunlight.
• Do not disassemble the digital calendar. This action poses an electric shock hazard, and there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Disassembly will void the warranty.

Cleaning the LCD Screen

• Please treat the screen with care. Since the digital calendar's screen is made of glass, it is prone to breakage or scratches.
• If fingerprints or dust accumulate on the LCD screen, it is recommended to clean it using a soft, non-abrasive cloth (such as a camera lens cloth).
• Dip the cleaning cloth into a cleaning solution, then gently wipe the screen.

🚀 Getting Started

2.1 Download the App and Create Account

You need the free Calycal app to fully utilize all of Calycal's features. Download the app from Google Play or the App Store and get started.

Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code and download the Calycal app directly to your device

How to download via QR code:

1. Open your phone's camera app
2. Point the camera at the QR code above
3. Tap the notification that appears on your screen
4. Follow the instructions to download and install the app

2.1.1 Initial Device Setup

Open your digital calendar, connect to Wi-Fi, enter your 6-digit activation code, then select your time zone and city to get started.

2.2 Sync New Calendar

Syncing is only possible through the app. When you sync a source calendar (such as Google, iCloud, or Outlook) with Calycal, any changes made to the source calendar will automatically appear on the digital calendar.

Supported Calendar Types:

• Google Calendar
• iCloud Calendar
• Outlook Calendar
• Yahoo! Calendar
• Cozi Calendar
• Calendar URL/Subscribed Calendars
• Local calendars on your phone (iPhone only)

Sync Time Requirements:

• Google Calendar and Outlook: Approximately 1 minute
• iCloud, Yahoo, and Cozi: 1 to 30 minutes

2.3 Share

Tap "Share" in My Calendar to invite family members to share devices by sending an invitation link.

Note: Anyone you invite will have access to view and manage your Calendar.

3.1 Events

You can view your activity in different views on the app or device as needed.

3.1.1 View Events

App: View events in "Month" or "Week" view. Tap "Today" to view current day events.

Device: View activities by day, month, or schedule view (configurable to display 1-7 days).

3.1.2 Create Events

Create events on both mobile app and device. Events sync automatically between devices.

3.1.3 Recurring Events

Create events that repeat:

• Daily
• Specific days of the week
• Weekly
• Every X weeks
• Annually

3.1.4-3.1.6 Edit Events & Voice Announcements

Edit events by clicking on them. Record voice announcements when creating/editing events that can be played back on both app and device.

3.2 Chores

Track tasks for the whole family with different types of chores.

3.2.1-3.2.2 Create Chores

Create chores on both app and device:

• Name chore tasks
• Assign to family members
• Set repeat frequency (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Edit or delete saved chores

3.2.3-3.2.4 Chores Announcing

Record voice prompts for chores that can be played back on both app and device.

3.3 Meal Planner

3.3.1 Create a Meal Plan

Click "Meals" and select breakfast/lunch/dinner/dessert options for each date.

3.3.2 Add/Remove/Edit Menu Items

On device: Tap blank area under meal categories to "Add Recipe," edit dishes, set categories, descriptions, and repetition.

3.3.3-3.3.4 Create/Edit on App

Use the app to create new meal plans, edit existing dishes, or delete meal plans.

3.4 Photos and Videos

The photo album supports uploading images and videos, and allows multiple users to share them.

3.4.1 Photos and Videos - App

Use the app's photo library feature to upload your pictures or videos.

3.4.2 Photos and Videos - Device

View images or videos uploaded by the application through your device.

3.4.3 Screensaver Settings

Set photo slideshows as screensaver with configurable display duration and video sound settings.

3.5 Lists

Lists sync between your electronic calendar and mobile app. Create as many lists as you need.

3.5.1 List - Apps

Create, edit, and manage lists with color coding. Mark items as complete and show/hide completed items.

3.5.2 List - Devices

Access and manage lists directly on the device, create new lists, and add items.

3.6 Profiles

Create individual profiles for family members.

3.6.1 Create Profile - Apps

Add profiles with names, colors, and avatars. Edit or delete profiles as needed.

3.6.2 Create Profile - Device

Edit profile names and colors directly on the device.

💤 Sleep Mode

Sleep mode turns off the electronic calendar display at scheduled intervals.

Scheduled Sleep and Instant Sleep

1. Click the moon icon at the bottom of the sidebar
2. Enable "Sleep Mode Schedule" and set sleep/wake times
3. Tap "Enter Sleep Mode Now" for instant sleep
4. Wake device anytime by pressing the power button

General Settings

• Font Size: Choose small, medium, or large
• Time Zone and Language: Change regional settings
• Reset Device: Erase all data on the device

Calendar Settings

• Reminders: Enable alerts for upcoming events
• Notification Timing: Set alerts at time of event or minutes before

📐 Installation Instructions

1. Tilt the bracket at a 45° angle
2. Insert it into the direct mounting hole
3. Rotate downward until perpendicular to the ground

For horizontal placement, adjust the angle accordingly.

Equipment Upgrade

Upon restart, an upgrade notification will appear. Click "Upgrade Now" to update. Alternatively, go to Settings > Version, then tap "New Version" to manually update.
